Middle and lower class women will still be having babies the old fashioned way. I've only had 2 kids, but didn't find it to be a traumatic experience. What if it turns out that cloned humans have a life expectancy of only 40 years, say, because of bad health problems which sexual reproduction prevents? The only way to find out is to do the experiment and likely sacrifice lots of cloned humans to a lifetime of substandard existence. Cloned animals, as I recall, do not do terribly well.Pagan Topologisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01611788563582362688noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3164556861454970487.post-77349297100183313412011-04-07T12:55:39.183-04:002011-04-07T12:55:39.183-04:00Well, now you had to go and get all practical on u...Well, now you had to go and get all practical on us. :-) Couldn't there be some new means of transportation that would be super fast, though?Clarissahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11027134365260069910noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3164556861454970487.post-24937059770706847912011-04-07T12:49:07.027-04:002011-04-07T12:49:07.027-04:00I'd like to live until the end of the universe...I'd like to live until the end of the universe, just to see what happens.

Teleportation is only likely to happen if we ever manage to give up our physical bodies. Otherwise, though (probably) not in any violation of the laws of physics, it's just too difficult a problem (scanning the quantum state of a an entire flesh and blood human being in a finite amount of time, which is what would be necessary for this, is probably an intractable problem, especially as it'd mean killing the person in the process).

-MikeAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3164556861454970487.post-10853345275769160692011-04-07T12:26:48.883-04:002011-04-07T12:26:48.883-04:00What is the maximum number of years you would like...What is the maximum number of years you would like to live?Clarissahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11027134365260069910noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3164556861454970487.post-44220231866038616672011-04-07T12:24:37.576-04:002011-04-07T12:24:37.576-04:00Life extension therapy and hyperspace travel so I ...Life extension therapy and hyperspace travel so I can have the time and the means to explore the universe in the privacy of my own spaceship.Izgadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03869626126435460209noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3164556861454970487.post-22138114745242655142011-04-07T11:41:19.142-04:002011-04-07T11:41:19.142-04:00Just teleporting will do for me.
