And the endless speculation about Hillary Clinton's sex life? And Britney Spears? Paris Hilton? I could go on and on with this list. In the areas where women are allowed to participate and rise to prominence, there are just as many female sex scandals as there are male.

Of course, the nature of these scandals is different in that women don't have to pay for sex. But that's a whole different story.Clarissahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11027134365260069910noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3164556861454970487.post-10636878659814194282009-12-18T12:02:54.568-05:002009-12-18T12:02:54.568-05:00Cohen's explanation is lame, but he's righ...Cohen's explanation is lame, but he's right about not having nearly as many sex scandals where the main participant is female. What is your explanation?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3164556861454970487.post-12459793340390770582009-12-17T20:45:31.452-05:002009-12-17T20:45:31.452-05:00Are you serious?? The theme of the film was VD, and the cause of VD? That slutty, trampy girl from the next town over. They showed all these wholesome, handsome guys and then the last line of the movie, as the camera closed in on the swinging hips and heavy make-up of the town slut: "Is this ... your daughter?"

Come to think of it, I believe it was narrated by Richard Cohen.tinfoil hattienoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3164556861454970487.post-31024533986133584722009-12-17T15:25:46.492-05:002009-12-17T15:25:46.492-05:00If you could figure this out when you were a littl...If you could figure this out when you were a little kid, why can't so many adults realize this simple truth? At the very least, if they want to work as journalists, could they avoid these tired senseless cliches? So annoying.Clarissahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11027134365260069910noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3164556861454970487.post-5723710029416512882009-12-17T13:36:04.935-05:002009-12-17T13:36:04.935-05:00I figured part of this out when I was a kid, when ...I figured part of this out when I was a kid, when I was told that "only men cheat."

I thought about it for a moment, then realized that there had to some women there (generally) for the men to cheat with, and if it were only one in the whole world that they were all cheating with she must be really tired.

That little thought experiment right there, when I was 10 or 11, was one of the things that convinced me that a lot of what the the adults around me were telling me was pure bull.

And it was. But it wasn't until later that I figured out the whole concept of "cheating" was largely crap, but that's another story for another time.

-MikeAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
