I do not like it if they are disruptive and interfere with other students' ability to listen to what I am saying. And, I very much object when a student attempts to use a text message or chat feature to get help during a test. This is a particularly hard form of cheating to police, so I simply ban all forms of electronic aids during tests, including calculators.<br /><br />[This is "Pagan Topologist" aka David P. Bellamy.
