Is it possible that our local Schnucks is really open 24-7 like it says on the website? As somebody who was born in the Soviet Union, I find this next to impossible to believe. So I will go and find out for myself.
No matter how much time passes since December 26, 1991, there are still things I can't get used to.

Aaaaaaah...!!!!! I knew!!! You was born.. I suspected you!!!!! Thats where Aspies...Homeland...
It was never a secret. :-)
I posted something here, but apparently it did not get through. Many, perhaps most, locales in this country have a small number of establishments open all the time. In fact, when they are forced to close because of weather emergencies or some such, it is sometimes a problem that no one knows where the keys are.
Where I live, we have two 24 hour restaurants and at least two convenience stores. They may close for Christmas, but it is very rare that they are not open.
Blogger tried to eat a few of the comments for some reason. Thank you for reposting!
I need to get out of my Soviet mentality as soon as possible. It never occurred to me that a supermarket could be open past 8 pm, so I never tried checking it out.
