Apparently, spammers keep track of people's blog stats. After yesterday's posts on this blog that celebrated the record number of pageviews, I got inundated with spam messages. Just between the hours of 2 am to 6 am (which is all the sleep I got through the fault of writer Michael Connelly whom I will discuss in the next post), I received over a dozen spam messages that spammers tried to post to this blog unsuccessfully. What's funny, though, that this was the night of spammers trying to advertise exclusively lawnmowers and prostitutes.
Somebody ought to study spamming trends one day.
