Derrida, Searle, and Me

This is Jacques Derrida's collection of his own publications:

John Searle's room of his published work:

And Clarissa's paltry collection of her publications:

Actually, I have a few more publications in online journals. Unfortunately, those never send out separata. I could make my own separata, though.

I got the idea for this post here.

Very nice. If you think your collection of publications is paltry, you can take comfort in the fact that you at least have more than I do (0). Thanks for the comments on my blog. I'm curious to know how you heard about it.

While I'm at it, I loved the 24 types of libertarians cartoon.

I'm following your blog in my blogroll. And I found it because of the word 'deconstruction' in the title.

For those who are curious, here is the blog in question: http://deconstructioninc.wordpress.com/

Check it out, it's very interesting.

How does their "academic age" compare with yours??

You are right in that both Derrida and Searle could easily be my grandfathers, both academically and chronologically. :-)

I feel much better now. :-)

Hey, that looks like a great start to me! Most of just ramble on on our blogs, at least some of you get out there and do something - publish something.

I don't know you, but anyone who publishes anything has already impressed me ;)

(unless they're one of those crazy ass republicans!)

Thank you, apples.

My readers are the best. :-)

It's funny how, for a while, Searle acted as if Derrida existed just to annoy him. I heard some stories about Searle from some of the instructors at my undergrad philosophy department who happened to meet the guy. Not too flattering. Derrida, however, by all accounts was a true gentleman.

I was an editor of a small town newspaper for exactly three months, so my published work equals exactly one half-inch of material. It seems you already have far more than that!
