View from the Gateway Arch

I really had no idea that a trip to the top of St. Louis's Gateway Arch would be such a production. There are about 5 lines and checkpoints that you have to go through. And then - oh horror - you have to sit in a tiny futuristic capsule with several complete strangers staring at each other uncomfortably while the train is climbing to the top. The trip only lasts four minutes up and four minutes down but I could have really done without it.

The view from the top of the arch is very pretty, though.

Next part of the trip will include a boat cruise. I will be posting pictures as we go.
