Southern Illinois and the Star of David

While visiting the Kerasotes movie theater here in Edwardsville, I was very happy to see that Southern Illinois celebrates my Jewish heritage by placing these huge beautiful Stars of David right at the entrance to the theater.

And people told me this place was backwards and uncivilized when I was first moving here.

I must be drunk (because living in CSL I can't be that ignorant) - but how many angles does the Star of David have? Why are you trying to convince me that these purple / green geometrical figures are related to the Star of David?

Drinking is good, my friend. I'm with you there. :-)

But about the Star of David, it was a joke. :-)Of course, ther are no actual Stars of david in the Kerasotes movie theatre in Southern Illinois. Yet. :-)

I remember the kids in my daughter's elementary school were learning some Hannukah song at some point. Also in the middle of the Midwest...

Oh, how cute! :-)

For my part, I have equal trouble identifying when exactly both Christmas and Hannukah fall. So I treat both my identities with perfect equality.
