The findings of the survey showed that having a feminist partner was associated with healthier heterosexual relationships for women. Men with feminist partners also reported both more stable relationships and greater sexual satisfaction. Therefore, the results clearly indicated that feminism improve the quality of romantic relationships. The study also shows that unflattering feminist stereotypes, that tend to stigmatise feminists as unattractive and sexually unappealing, are unsupported.
Imagine that, people who are in relationships where both partners are considered to be actual human beings are happier and more stable. Who could have thought that! But it's nice to know that when treated as people and not toys or house-cleaning devices women can actually be happier. It's also great to find out that men who see their female partners as human also tend to enjoy their relationships more. Of course, when you think of it, it's hard to imagine anybody having a very fulfilling sexual and emotional relationship with an object that has no feelings and desires of her own. Another piece of good news is that holding feminist convictions doesn't make people ugly.
It's funny we need a study to demonstrate this to us.

I think you put more eloquently put the common issue that of sexism being so pervasive as to be unnoticed. Definitely sad.

Its all in the wording. If it had been worded like you have here then then the "In your face! Feminists ARE better!" angle would not have been as obvious. Ego stroking.
Thanks for this. As a denizen of okcupid, it's clear how the stereotypes are perpetuated among even lefty men. The wimmin who are sought after or most often considered fun to be around are the ones who don't challenge, who are accomodating, who try not to think too hard. The idea that a man might do well to consider being in relationship with someone who is fully conscientized, emotionally present and adult is so alien in so many different circles. So sad.
There are many men who are not "fully conscientized, emotionally present and adult" themselves, so they choose partners who will provide a welcoming background against which they will be able to shine.
Sad, you are right.
Feminists *definitely* have better sex. Take it from an expert. ; )
