Girls and Boys in Spain

Once, my friend and I were walking down a busy street in Madrid on a Sunday afternoon. Suddenly, we heard somebody who was walking behind us call out, "Girls! Hey, girls! Wait up for us! Don't run away." We turned around and saw two gentlemen in their 80ies wave at us in a flirty way. With a sense of righteous indignation at these much older men who dressed in their Sunday best and went out to chase young women (we were in our twenties then), we turned around and saw two very old ladies who were waving back at their "boys" and giggling.

My friend and I felt very ashamed of our presumptuousness.

That's very sweet, Clarissa, right on the back of the discussion over at Mike's.

OFF TOPIC:

I hope the scary weather in St Louis has passed you by.

We had two tornadoes, a hailstorm and a thunderstorm in just one day yesterday. Very weird weather.

I am glad you are OK. Is such violent weather common in Europe? The fifteen months I have spent in Europe, I don't think I ever saw even a thunderstorm.

We had really heavy rains and snowstorms but the first tornado I've ever experienced was in Indiana. I was terrified. But now they happen so often that I barely even notice.
