This is what paradise will look like

These pictures are from our neighborhood meat and sausage shop. It's a great family business that has existed for generations. I wish there were more businesses like this one instead of huge supermarket chains where the quality of food is low because of all the nasty stuff that gets injected into it or added to it. At this great store you always know that the cattle is grown locally, and the sausage is cured in the back room of that very store.

As a passionate connoisseuse of sausage, I'm sure that my version of paradise would look ike this store attached to a huge library.

I think I know what you mean.

All the cheap meat and the way it is sold can be really gross sometimes.

With me, this goes so far that I have developed an antipathy against the method it is packed.

We have a butcher's shop right around the corner and the people there sell meat and ground pork prepacked in styrofoam and plastic wrap, so customers don't have to wait until they pack the groceries.

And everytime I go there, I ask if they can pack the stuff I want fresh, although the cashier there keeps insisting that what is already packed comes from the same batch as the unpacked food and is just as fresh.

That looks so good I want to roll around in it like a dog.

I must be hungry....
