A Priceless Cartoon on Mark Twain Censorship

Tom Carter at Opinion Forum just posted absolutely the best cartoon I have ever seen. I think it will be a perfect conclusion to our discussion on censoring Mark Twain. Enjoy!

Have you rad Politcally Correct Bedtime Stories.

It is this same "political correctness" that gives the hard right fodder to demonize leftist intellectuals. Of course, the right has their own historical revisionism, like what Texas school boards try to do to their textbooks, but somehow there doesn't seem to be as much of a stink about that.

It happens because noobdy is surprised when the Republicans cme up with something ignorant and crazy. We don't expect anything diferent from them anyways.

Thanks, Clarissa.

Bolling produces about one per week, and my routine includes reading it on Sundays in the Washington Post. His cartoons can also be found here.

His work often isn't funny, and sometimes it's incomprehensible. But now and then he strikes gold, and this is one of them. And sometimes the small touches are the best, like the "Study Questions" at the end of this one.

Oh, and by the way, anyone who thinks Bolling is a conservative obviously knows nothing about him and hasn't seen much of his work.
