Since people say they don't mind posts on blog stats, there is an interesting fact I just discovered:
12.5% of people who visit the blog stay for over an hour
I hope this isn't because people are confused, but rather because they read one thing and then get interested and read more. Or just stick around for the sake of the discussions in the comments section.

I'm one of those people, and in my case, it's because I open a lot of tabs at once, so that I can read them as the day goes on, whether the internet stays connected or not.
Please keep doing that because it makes me feel very good. :-)
I actually do that too on all the computers I use.
I sometimes visit here and leave the tab open when I have started doing something else, to come back to it after a while. This may make it appear that I am staying longer than I am.
I just realized something curious. I don't read very many blogs, but I do read three blogs by female academics in their thirties who live in Illinois. Curious.
(back on my own computer now)
Ah, I always knew that Illinois was special. :-)
Are you interested in who the other two are?? Both are fiction writers.
Of course, I'd love to know. Feel free to leave the links here, as I'm sure other readers are interested too.

She has one of the three oldest blogs in the world, since 1995!

I have mentioned her to you before. She does not post terribly often, but it is interesting when she does.
Thank you! Fascinating blogs. For some reason, I initially thought you were talking about blogs by female scientists. I already follow about half a dozen of such blogs and I thought that any more would be excessive. But the ones you linked to are a lot more in y area of interests. :-)
